Overview
Sunbreak is a bedtime app blocker that helps you build better sleep habits by restricting distracting apps during bedtime hours. We believe in complete transparency and want you to know that we prioritize your privacy above all else.
Information Collection
Our app:
- Does not require user registration or accounts
- Does not use cookies
- Does not contain advertisements
- Does not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
Third-Party Services
Sunbreak uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription billing. RevenueCat processes your purchase transactions through the App Store and maintains an anonymous subscriber profile to verify your subscription status. No personally identifiable information is shared. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- TelemetryDeck: Provides privacy-friendly, anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data or use tracking identifiers. See TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy.
- Accountability Notifications: If you choose to add accountability partners, their email addresses are sent to our notification service to deliver breach alerts. These email addresses are used solely for sending notifications and are not stored beyond delivery.
Local Data Storage
Your preferences, including bedtime schedules and settings, are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems. This data:
- Is stored on your device
- Is automatically deleted when you remove the app
- Can be reset at any time through the app settings
Screen Time Integration
Sunbreak uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps during bedtime. All Screen Time data remains on your device. We cannot see which apps you use, how often you use them, or any usage statistics.
Location Services
If you grant location permission, we use your location only to calculate local sunrise and sunset times for automatic wake scheduling. This location data:
- Is processed entirely on your device
- Is never transmitted anywhere
- Is never stored permanently
- Is used only for sunrise/sunset calculations
- Can be revoked at any time through iOS settings
Purchase Data
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.
Data Deletion
You can remove your Sunbreak data by:
- Deleting the app from your device (removes all local data)
- Canceling your subscription through App Store account settings
- Revoking Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users through an app update.
